Where did I put my tickets? Or the 3 ticketing providers of Cleveland’s NCAA Women’s Final Four Weekend

This past weekend’s NCAA Women’s Final Four took place in Cleveland, OH. I had tickets to multiple events but even as a ticketing professional I had a hard time remembered where I “put” each ticket.

AXS is the official ticket partner of the NCAA so my ticket to Sunday’s final was in my AXS mobile app. As a frequent attendee of events at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, I had to remind myself that the tickets are not in my SeatGeek app. Until they were… Saturday had an open practice with free tickets via RMFH’s primary provider, SeatGeek. The tickets were available to the public for free online via SeatGeek with a limit of 4 per person. Even though the event was onlt 2/3 of the way full, the tickets “sold out”. The final event I had tickets to was Saturday’s all-star game at the Wolstein center, which uses Paciolan since it’s part of Cleveland State University. The Paciolan tickets were the only ones I was able to save to my apple wallet, the other two required me to have their app.

I can certainly appreciate the confusion in keeping track of tickets across 3 platforms for events surrounding the weekend. Do most consumers know who the primary ticketing provider is? Do they know how to access information on where to buy official tickets? Or do they go straight to the secondary market?

No matter where the tickets were from, all events ran seamlessly over the weekend, with NCAA volunteers out in full force. The energy was high in The Land this weekend and us locals had ample opportunities to enjoy the activations from the Final Four all over the city last weekend.
